    Turmeric… the golden spice

    Turmeric… the golden spice

Curcuma longa, more commonly known as Turmeric, has a long history of medicinal use, dating back thousands of years. In Southeast Asia, Turmeric is not only used as a spice but also as flavouring, dye and a component in religious ceremonies. Because of its amazing yellow colour, Turmeric is also known as “Indian saffron.” Although Ayurvedic medicine has long been using Turmeric, modern medicine has only recently begun to recognize its many unique health benefits, and to fully appreciate the extent of its healing potential.

???? There are many ways to brew our Golden Spice blend, but this is our favourite. – We recommend adding half a teaspoon of the Golden Spice blend per serve into a small pot on the stove, or a brewing jug, and covering with boiling water for 10 seconds. Add a little honey or vegan sweetener. – If you are brewing with a steamer or milk frother, add the milk (coconut is best) to the jug, and froth/steam with the tea in the jug. – If you are brewing on the stove top, add the milk, and heat to the desired temperature. – Do not strain, as the blend is designed to be consumed whole. – Enjoy!

Rich in antioxidants, our Golden Spice blend can help to support healthy circulation, lower blood pressure and act as a powerful, natural anti-inflammatory. As turmeric is fat soluble, consuming this blend with a milk of your choice can improve absorption and the therapeutic benefits of the turmeric. We recommend that when brewing this blend, you do not strain it. That way, you are actually ingesting the ingredients, rather than just infusing them, providing you with greater therapeutic benefit
