? Did you know that the clear bags we use that hold our tea are NOT polypropylene plastic bags like many food grade bags? Which means you can compost our cellophane bags and they will naturally break down in your home compost. Our outer packaging is made from recyclable cardboard and we print using vegetable-based inks. We then also ship our products in post-consumer recycled cartons, so you can be sure that we’ve thought about our packaging choices and the effect our products have on the environment. To read more about our sustainability goals head over to the journal page on our website. Link in bio ?

We have put a great deal of effort into sourcing biodegradable packaging materials, to ensure we provide environmentally friendly products, which in turn reduces our environmental impact. Even the ‘plastic’ bag inside each box is actually wood based cellophane, which means that it can be placed in your compost, along with the used tea itself

We have designed our pyramids tea bags with a great deal of thought and consideration, to offer tea drinkers a more convenient option. We hand-blend each of our teas before they are packed into the pyramid bags, here in Australia, to ensure there is no compromise on flavour or therapeutic benefit. We use a biodegradable mesh material for our tea bags, called “Soilon”, which is made from a plant starch, and have personally tested the biodegradability in our own home compost Do you compost our tea bags?

Once upon a time, everything humans ate came from nature, in a relatively unaltered state. Now days, most foods have been significantly altered and changed by the time they’ve made their way to our shelves. With such dramatic changes being made to our foods, we often find that they lose nutritional content, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It will never be as easy as it once was to eat clean and pure foods, but you can always try to eat as many foods as close to their natural state as possible. Grow your own where you can, buy organic where possible and remain conscious of how altered your food has become by the time it reaches you ?

“I love that the foundation we built the business on has remained intact and that it has stayed true to the ethics and morals on which it was built. Our vision was always about providing people with healthy, tasty teas, which were not only good for you but which also have the least amount of negative impact on the planet. We feel that the products we create are of a high quality, in terms of packaging, the ingredients we use and the design of each blend. We will continue building on the foundations we have established so far, and we hope that Love Tea continues to grow long after we are gone. “ – Love Tea naturopath Emma

We are big fans of Matcha tea and the amazing health benefits it offers. This vibrant green powder is unique in many ways, starting with how it’s grown. Matcha undergoes a unique shade growing process, which stimulates the production of nutrients in the tea leaves, and once the leaves are harvested and dried, they are then crushed into a powder. To brew the tea, a brisk whisking of the powder in water is required, and drinking the tea means that you actually consume the whole leaf, rather than just infusing the leaves, like many other green teas. Have you tried our organic Matcha tea? ???? @theorganicbasketco

We fairly source the majority of our ingredients directly from the growing communities and cooperatives who produce them. We pay fair trade premiums for the ingredients purchased from fair trade farms, and continually strive to learn more about the challenges that the growers face in their regions ????

This shincha variety of sencha tea is sourced from a number of small-scale farmers in northern Victoria, Australia. Shincha, or new tea, is made using new leaves from the first harvest each spring. This shincha tea truly represents the beauty of a traditional Australian tea experience and offers a delicate and refined taste that is slightly buttery and exceptionally smooth.

“We believe that our focus should be on ‘prevention rather than cure’ in order to achieve the greatest health results. Rather than providing a treatment for a condition or a weakness once it is already well established in the body, we aim to offer support to a specific system or condition, to help promote healing and support, in order to lessen the severity of the condition. We do this by combining the most appropriate ingredients together, which can offer specific therapeutic benefits, in order to achieve a certain outcome.” – Emma, Love Tea Naturopath

If you’re just beginning your pregnancy journey, or you know someone who is, our Morning Wellness blend is based on herbs which have traditionally been used to help support the nervous system and help relieve morning sickness. It’s also important to remember to eat small snacks regularly through this first 12 weeks to ensure blood sugar levels remain balanced, as this can contribute to morning sickness
