? We feel it is our responsibility to reduce our negative impact on the environment, and even taking the smallest of steps makes a world of difference. We use biodegradable cello bags, and recyclable cardboard boxes, we use biodegradable mesh for our pyramids tea bags, and we print using vegetable base inks. We choose certified organic ingredients, free from pesticides and nasty chemicals, and we choose fair trade wherever possible. So when you purchase a Love Tea product, you can enjoy your tea, knowing that you’re making the best choice for you and for the environment ?

We collaborate with growers and small scale cooperatives around the world, to fairly source the organic ingredients we use in our teas. Each step we take is considered with great care, to ensure we have the least amount of impact on the environment

???? We source ingredients directly from plantations and small scale cooperatives in Sri Lanka, and over the years we’ve developed some great relationships. We’re saddened by the news of flooding and landslides that have devastated the country over the last week, and we’re committed to do what we can to help. So this weekend we’re going to match sales in our online store, dollar for dollar, and we will be donating to Oxfam. You can help by donating directly through them (link in bio) or by purchasing some tea from us. ???? . . . . .

We were fortunate enough to visit the Thotulagalla tea estate on our last visit to the Uva region of Sri Lanka. It was there that we met Karuppaiah Kanageswary, and were immediately taken by her infectious smile. Although we couldn’t speak her language, we felt we had a common connection, as each day she carefully hand picks the tea that we use in so many of our blends. Meeting the people, learning their craft and hearing their story is what makes this journey so special

This photo was taken on our latest visit to plantations in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. We source the majority of our tea directly from organic farms and cooperatives around the world. By personally visiting these communities, we are able to get a better understanding of their processes and effort that is required to produce each harvest, as well as learn more about the environmental factors that effect flavour
